My Background
Shannon Stewart
I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating PTSD, anxiety, complex trauma, and LGBTQ+ identity exploration. My clinical work integrates DBT, psychodynamic therapy, trauma-informed nervous system work, and grounding practices informed by my certifications in yoga and the healing arts. I use a multicultural, identity-affirming lens, honoring the intersections of culture, lived experience, and personal history. I view therapy as a space where you can be seen without judgment, develop insight, and build skills that support lasting change.
My focus is on helping you identify patterns that once protected you but now limit your growth. Together, we work to replace shame with curiosity and cultivate agency, emotional regulation, and self-connection. I don’t view healing as fixing what’s “wrong.” I see it as reclaiming your voice, your story, and the parts of yourself that deserve space and belonging.
